Whether it's your wedding day or a family session with little ones, my goal is about the same and that is to let things unfold as naturally as possible with some guidance and prompts along the way. If a tear is falling down your face and might mess up your makeup? Let it! How wonderful that you are so in the moment to let your emotions run free. If your kid is running around like a maniac? Sounds like a great opportunity for tag. Forcing them on your lap to smile might not be right for that moment in time. I'll let you know if you have something in your teeth or if your hand looks like a scary claw, but otherwise I want your photos to represent YOU, YOUR life, YOUR day, whatever it is that I am there to capture.
